Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Professor Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan was the chief guest on this occasion who formally inaugurated the Championship. Director General Sports University of Peshawar and former international athlete Bahare Karam, members of the Teaching Faculties University of Peshawar, officials and players were also present.
The championship would continue up till Feb 22 wherein a total of 16 teams are taking part. All the 16 teams have qualified for the final round after playing the zonal round earlier on.
In the opening match The Superior University beat BUITMS, Quetta by 3-1, the score was 25-23, 25-20 and 25-23, in the second match University of Punjab beat Mehran University Sindh by 3-0, the score was 25-22, 25-21 and 25-23 and in the third match Minhaj University beat University of Sindh Jamshoro by 3-2, the score was 22-25, 19-25, 27-25, 25-23.
